DeafCenter
Website for the Lithuanian education centre for deaf and hard-of-hearing children — built for an audience that reads everything, and skims nothing.
The centre serves pupils, parents and teachers, and each group arrives looking for something different: admissions, documents, events, teaching materials. The old problem with institutional sites is that everything is equally important, so nothing is findable.
The structure puts the audience first rather than the institution: a persistent side navigation for the sections people return to, an events calendar where announcements actually land, and contact details that never require a search. For this audience in particular, text carries the whole load — so hierarchy, spacing and link clarity do the work that tone of voice would do elsewhere.
I did both the design and the development, on WordPress.
